Keisen Judo Club have been picking up accolades across the country.

At the British Schools Judo Association Individual Championships in Sheffield, Jessica Plumtree earned a silver medal for St. Wifrid's in her first competitive outing since Christmas in the year 8/9 girls -57kg catagory. James Draper (Imberhorne School) collected a silver medal in the young mens -55kg group. His sister Elizabeth (Imberhorne School) fought in a very closely contended pool wher the decision went to a score count-back and, even though she had beaten the eventual gold medallist, she had to settle for bronze.

At the Classmaster Easter competition Louie Slocombe won all of his fights to take gold. Maxim Bordessoule, who has only been doing judo for four months got a silver, and Daniel Morrissey and Mark Skellett got bronze.

Olivia Trueman deserves a special mention for getting not only a bronze medal but also the Spirit of Judo Award.

Ben Fletcher, returning to competitive judo for the first time in four years, managed an excellent silver medal. There was also gold for Lyle Slocombe, silver for Tom Leighton and bronze for JJ Learnihan and Chris Cummings.
