30 Oct 2011 Welsh Senior Open

Keisen under 60kg player James Draper just missed out on a bronze for third time this season with another impressive performance at the Welsh Senior Open held at the Welsh Institute of Sport in Cardiff on Sunday 30th October.

Draper's performance was all the more impressive by the clinical manner that he beat the current British number three player to make it to the semi-finals. He ultimately lost out in the semi-final and was narrowly edged out in the bronze medal contest and had to settle for his third 5th place of the season.

The British senior ranking season came to a close in Cardiff with Draper finishing ranked 11 in Great Britain. Draper's impressive first season at full senior level, aged just 19, resulted in two medals and three fifth places, amassing 160 ranking points and 11th spot in the table.
