Southern Area Hat Trick

This year sees the return of a qualification system for the British Championships. Each of the 14 British Judo Areas are holding a trial to select their representatives for the prestigious British Championships.

The Southern Area trials were held on Saturday 12th September and with only the top four in each category qualifying, it proved to be one of the most fiercely contested events in the UK. All three Keisen entries successfully qualified and will represent Southern Area at the British Championships.

Jess Plumtree, aiming for the British Championships for the first time qualified in 4th place, with brother and sister duo James and Elizabeth Draper grabbing a 3rd and 4th place respectively. As well as qualifying for the Championships, all three players have won places in the Southern Area squad.
