Over the past month Keisen Judo Club has had medal
winning success at two of the region's most prestigious
judo competitions. These were the South of England
Junior and Youth Championships held on the 8th of
June, and the Kent International Championship held
on the 28th and 29th of June.
At the South of England, the team managed to win
a gold, a silver and five bronze medals from a team
of twelve judoka. At the Kent International, which
as the name suggests attracts a very higher standard
of entry, the team of seven managed to win three bronze
medals.
Coach Tim Draper said "It's always nice to win
medals, but the thing that pleased me most was that
some of our less experienced players came to big competitions
and gave a very good account of themselves in challenging
circumstances."
See the results section
for details of the medallists.
