Six medals at the Sussex Junior Yellow Belt & Under
A team of red and yellow belt players returned from Worthing
with a haul of six medals. The Sussex Junior Yellow Belt
& Under Open was a good test for Keisen players with
excellent standards of judo on show.
The event highlight was the two gold medals won by Joanna
Braim in group 4 -40kg and Francesca Allen in the group
4 -44kg category. Francesca won her medal by fighting against
competitors from the -48kg weight group (one above hers)
producing two excellent wins.
In the boys group 1 -30kg category, this time it was the
Keisen boys who excelled, producing a silver for Max Oulton
and a bronze for Leon Verrells. Matt Reiley, competing for
the first time at this level, fought his way through a marathon
six fights to secure a superb bronze in the group 1 -46kg
category.
Zoe Boulderstone also fought well to win a bronze in the
group 3 -40kg category.
