Eleven Medals at Sussex County Trials

A squad of 15 junior players competed in Worthing at the Sussex County Trials on Sunday 22nd April. This competition serves as the selection event for membership of the Sussex County Squad.

Gold medallists at the event are awarded the title County Champion and will represent Sussex at the Southern Area Inter-County Team event in May. The Trials have also become a measure of individual club success with all junior medals contributing points towards the prize of the Meeksan trophy, awarded to the most successful club at the Trials.

The Keisen players all performed exceptionally well, culminating in a medal haul of three gold, two silver and six bronze medals. So, for the new season there will 11 Keisen players in the Sussex County Squad. Keisen Judo Club is very proud of the entire squad performance, and this was rewarded with a 4th place in the team placings for the Meeksan Trophy. Congratulations to the squad for some great performances.
