Sussex Competitive Gradings

As we move into a new era of technical grading, the occasion was marked by some outstanding performances at the last ever Sussex Competitive Gradings.

Three new green belts were earned; Jared Leighton moving up two grades to win his 10th mon green, Jessica Plumtree also gaining promotion through two grades to 10th mon and Amber Boulderstone going one step further by accelerating through three grades to win 11th mon green belt. Elizabeth Draper continued the green theme by winning a third stripe on her green belt at 12th mon.

The day was finished perfectly by an outstanding performance from James Draper. James delivered the required three ippon wins to gain promotion to the penultimate junior grade of 17th mon (brown belt 2).
